Unable to Edit Asset Fields that are Greyed out using a Custom Role

Solution:

A user with an Administrator role needs to do the following steps:

1.    Navigate to Fixed Assets > Setup > System Setup.

2.    Mark the Allow Asset Value Editing.

3.    In the User Roles field, select the roles that need to edit the asset records.

4.    Click Save.

 

The user with the custom role needs to sign out of NetSuite and sign back in to ensure that the change has taken effect on the role.
