FAM Update > Unable to initiate upgrade to the latest version of Fixed Assets Management because Asset Depreciation or background tasks are in progress or in Pending status

Scenario:

•         User got an email with the following data:


Account:
 Bundle Name: Fixed Assets Management
 Script: FAM Bundle Installation Scripts
 Type: Bundle Installation
 Function: ncFAR_BeforeBundleUpdate
 Error: INSTALLATION_ERROR
 Unable to initiate upgrade to the latest version of Fixed Assets Management because Asset Depreciation or background tasks are in progress or in Pending status. To view the status of all processes, go to Fixed Assets > Fixed Assets Background Processing > Process Instance List. When all tasks are marked Completed, contact Support to have your Fixed Assets Management SuiteApp upgraded to the latest version.

 

Solution:

• To have the Fixed Asset Management bundle updated, perform the following steps:

1.    Inactivate any process with "In Progress" and "Queued" Status

•     FAM Process List

            • Navigate to Fixed Assets > Background Processing > FAM Process List
            • Mark Show Inactives checkbox
            • Place a check mark on the Inactive checkbox beside each processes with "In Progress" or "Queued" Status
            • Click Submit


•     Background Processing Status

            • Navigate to Fixed Assets > Background Processing Status
            • Click the Internal ID beside each processes with "In Progress" or "Queued" Status
            • Click Edit.

            • Mark the Inactive checkbox.

            • Click Save.


2.    Email NetSuite Customer Support as soon as the above steps are done so that support can re-launch the upgrade in the account.
