User has marked several Customer records as Inactive. When creating Saved Searches and Reports, the user wants all these Inactive Customers and their related records automatically excluded from the Results.
The steps to exclude Inactive Customers from Saved Search:
This can only be achieved by explicitly adding the Inactive is False criterion on the Report or Saved Search. However, these inactive records do not show up when viewing the List page (e.g. Lists > Relationships > Customers) unless the Show Inactives filter is enabled. Similarly, inactive records do not show up on Quick Searches or Global Searches unless the user manually enables the preference to include them (Home > Set Preferences > Analytics tab > Include Inactives in Global & Quick Search).
