Order of matrix item options on newly created matrix items

The order of matrix item options on the names of newly created matrix items is based on the sequence of Custom Item Fields listed on the Custom Item Fields list sorted by the number sign (#) column from lowest to highest.

 

Using an Administrator role, this can be accessed by navigating to Setup > Customization > Item Fields.
