Changing the Status on a customer record to a status, which corresponds to a different stage in the sales cycle, leads to the customer's conversion into a lead or prospect. The mapping between the customer status and the stage (customer, prospect or lead) can be seen by navigating to Setup > Sales > Customer Statuses. The After Submit event occurs after the changes to the record are committed to the database. Therefore, if the status is changed, such that the customer is converted to either a lead or prospect, then a User Event script with an After Submit function deployed only on the customer record is not triggered for this record.
In order to trigger the script for leads and prospects as well, please create two additional deployments applied to Lead and Prospect.
