Transactions > Financial > Revalue Open Currency Balances > Revalue Account Type = Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable > zero revaluation created

Scenario:

        Create a journal entry inforeign currency via Transactions> Financial > MakeJournal Entries

        Journal Entry has amountfor Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable accounts

        Navigate to Transactions> Financial> Revalue Open Currency Balances at the end of the period

        Mark Include for theAccounts Payable/Accounts Receivableaccount

        Click Save

Status = 100% complete, zero transactionrevalued

 

Findings:

        Accounts Payable accounts when used in transactions must beassociated with a Vendor name

        Accounts Receivable accounts when used in transactions must beassociated with a Customer name

        The journal entry above,that user tried to revalue, has value for Name= null for transaction line with accounttype = Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable

 

Solution:

1.   Edit the transaction andenter value for Name on the account line with account type = Accounts Payable /Accounts Receivable

2.   Navigate to Transactions>Financial > Revalue Open Currency Balances

3.   Mark Include for theAccounts Payable/Accounts Receivable account

4.   Click Save

Status = 100% complete, transactionis revalued
