Create a Custom Memo Field on Item Fulfilment to Show/Print on Packing Slips

By default, the value of the Memo field printed on Packing Slips is sourced from the originating Sales Order Transaction. If a user wants a separate memo field on the Item Fulfilment to be printed on Packing Slips, users need to create a custom Memo field.

 

To create a custom memo field:

1.  Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Body Fields > New.

2.  Provide a Label.

3.  Set Type to Free-Form Text.

4.  Mark the Store Value checkbox.

5.  Under Applies To tab, mark the Item Fulfilment and Print on Packing Slip checkboxes.

6.  Under Display tab, set the Subtab to Main.

7.  Click Save.

 

To Print/Email it on Packing Slip:

1.  Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms.

2.  Edit the Preferred Packing Slip form.

3.  Under the Printing Fields and Body sub tab, mark the Print/Email checkbox for the custom memo field created.

4.  Click Save.
