Here are the steps on how to upload FAM Alternate Depreciation through CSV.
A. Prepare a CSV file which contains the following columns:
-Actual Depreciation Method
-Alternate Method (Req)
-Asset
-Date
-Inactive (Yes/No)
-Accounting Book
-Net Book Value
-Period
-Quantity
-Schedule (Yes/No)
-Scheduled Amount
-Scheduled NBV
-Transaction Amount
-Transaction Type
B. CSV Import Process:
1. Navigate to Setup>Import/Export>Import CSV Records.
Import Type = Custom Records
Record Type = FAM - Depreciation History
Browse for the file to upload.
Next.
2. Data Handling - Add. Next.
3. Field Mapping - Map the fields as necessary.
Make sure that the Alternate Method field is mapped.
Next.
4. Save mapping (optional) and start importing.
Notes:
There is no Minimum Required Field for the Alternate Depreciation History Records Import. The Alternate Method field should be mapped though, if not, information will be imported as Depreciation History Record (Depreciation History tab).
These Alternate Depreciation History Records will be uploaded under the Tax Methods>Alternate Depreciation History tab of the Asset Record.
The Records that will be uploaded are for reference purposes only.
