Delete a subsidiary with no transactions: This record cannot be deleted because it has child records

Scenario:

•        Navigate to Setup > Company> Subsidiaries

•        Edit a subsidiary record (that has no transactions associated with it)

Error:  This record cannot be deleted because it haschild records

 

 

Solution:
Tobe able to delete a subsidiary that has no related transactions/records:

1.    Click on Childrecords link and it is the subsidiary on an entity: Anonymous Customer Subsidiary X and Tax Agency Y

2.    Open the Anonymous Customer Subsidiary X record

3.    Edit > Actions >Delete

4.    Go back to the subsidiaryvia Setup > Company > Classifications >Subsidiaries

5.    Edit the subsidiary

6.    Hit Actions

7.    Hit Delete

Prompt: Are you sure you want to delete this record?

8.    Click OK

Subsidiary is deleted
