BackdatingInventory affecting transactions before the Inventory Distribution date mayaffect the reporting of Items that have already been distributed. When a savedInventory Distribution shows a negative quantity, its possible that Inventoryaffecting transactions were backdated before or on the same date set on theInventory Distribution. Note that Inventory distribution does not allow thedistribution of Negative on hand items. In order to verify this:
I.Check the date of the Inventory Distribution and when it was created.
1.Navigate to Transactions > Management > Saved Searches > New> Transactions.
2.Under the Criteria Tab > Standard subtab, set:
a. Type = Inventory Distribution
3.Under the Results Tab > Columns subtab, set:
a. Number
b. Date
c. Date Created
II.Create a saved search to verify backdated transactions before InventoryDistribution.
1.Navigate to Transactions > Management > Saved Searches > New >Transactions.
2.Under the Criteria Tab > Standard subtab, set:
a. Date = on or before (Date of the Inventory Distribution)
b. Date Created = on or after (Date Created of the InventoryDistribution)
3.Under the Results Tab > Columns subtab, set:
a. Number
b. Date
c. Date Created
Backdatinginventory affecting transactions before the Inventory Distribution date maycause Inventory Reports to be inaccurate. These backdated transactions need tobe edited and their dates be set to a date after the Inventory Distribution.
