Item Fulfillment > Shipping tab > function of Send Notification Email / Ship Notification Email Addresses check box

1. On the New Item Fulfillment transaction, navigate to  Carrier  tab.  Click on the Field Level Help for Send Notification Email / Ship Notification Email Addresses.
 
"Check this box and enter an e-mail address to notify the recipient that you are shipping the package.

In the field below, you can enter a second e-mail address to be copied on this notification.

Multiple e-mail addresses cannot be entered in these fields. You can enter a maximum of 2 addresses, one in each field.

E-mail notification can result in extra charges from UPS. For more information, visit www.ups.com.

This field is only enabled if you have UPS selected as your integration carrier and are using a UPS-integrated shipping item."

2. Customer may opt not to use this since it will entail them extra costs. As an Alternate Solution : on Item Fulfillment > even if Send Notification Email / Ship Notification Email Addresses box is unchecked, end Customer will still receive an Email with below details as long as on the Sales Order > Messages tab > To Be E-mailed box is checked.

● Sales Order Number
● Order Summary - Item, Qty, Description, Options, Rate, Amount
● Shipping Amount
● Tax Total
● Grand Total; and
● Tracking Number

3. If To Be E-mailed box is unchecked on the Sales Order and only the Send Notification Email / Ship Notification Email Addresses box on Item Fulfillment is checked, the only Email that the end Customer will receive is a UPS Ship Notification Email referencing below details:

● Number of Packages;
● UPS Service;
● Weight; and
● Tracking Number
