Depreciation Start Date for Assets generated from Asset Proposal

 

The Depreciation Start Date of Asset created from Asset Proposal is based on the Transaction Date of the Bill. You can do the following if you would like to change the Depreciation Start Date before an Asset is generated from Asset Proposal.

 

1. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Transactions > Asset Proposal

2. Select Asset Type(s)

3. Click Propose New Assets

4. Click Edit on the Bill

5. Navigate to the General tab

6. Enter a Date on Depreciation Start Date

7. Click Save

8. Navigate to Fixed Assets > Transactions > Asset Proposal

9. Select Asset Type(s)

10. Click Propose New Assets

11. Put a check mark on the Bill

12. Click Generate Assets
