CSV Import to Update Sales Transactions > error: Please choose an item to add

Scenario:

·        Navigate to Setup> Import/Export > Import CSV Records

·        CSVImport to Update Sales Order

·        Error

                        Pleasechoose an item to add

 

Findings:

·        This happens when incorrect item Line Id(s) has been entered on the CSV file

 

Solution:

To correctly extract the item Line Id(s), create a Saved Search:

1.   Navigate to Lists > Search > SavedSearches > New >Transaction.

2.   Add filter : Type= Sales Order under Criteria tab > Standard sub tab

3.   Add Line IDfield under the Results tab > Columns sub tab

4.    Modify the CSV file and enter the correct Line Id of the Item(s)

5.    Perform the CSV Import
