Unable to Create a Revenue Recognition Journal Entry as Location is mandatory

The Standard Journal Entry forms are used for Revenue Recognition Journal Entry. Then, the Location is not controlled by the form.

The mandatory Location is due to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences > General > Classifications > Make Location Mandatory = is checked.

User will need to uncheck the said preference in order to process the Revenue  Recognition Journal.

If user needs Location mandatory, this can be set on the custom Journal Entry forms.

The user can also customize the form to make the Location field not mandatory.

  1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms.
  2. Edit the form you are using.
  3. Under Screen Fields tab and Lines subtab, locate the Location field.
  4. Unmarked the Show checkbox.
  5. Click Save.
