Number that Appears with the Name in the System Notes of a Merged Record

Prior to 2012.1, when merging Duplicate records, user can view the System Notes of the Master record and will only see the Name of the Duplicate record/s where it was merged into.

In 2012.1, when a record is merged and the user views the System Notes of the Master record, the user sees a Number that appears before the Name of the Duplicate record.

This number pertains to the Internal ID of the record. For additional tracking purposes, this new feature was added to version 2012.1. If Auto-Generated Number is On, the Internal ID would appear before the Customer ID. For example:

    2000 100 Customer ABC

Where:

2000 - Internal ID of the record
    100 - Customer ID
    Customer ABC - Customer Name
