If a user edits an Item Search, it throws This search refers to custom field with id = CUSTITEMXX which either is restricted..
This error is thrown if a custom item field is added as one of the Condition on the item search, and was later on deleted.
To recover the item search:
Create a new custom item field that uses the same ID# as the custom field indicated in the error.
1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records & Fields > Item Fields > New.
2. Provide a Label.
3. Enter the ID# of the deleted custom item field in the ID field.
4. Set the Type to Free Form Text.
5. Mark the Store Value box.
6. Under Applies To tab, mark the Inventory Item checkbox.
7. Click Save.
Note: The item search in question may now be viewed or edited without getting a notice.
