Description:
1. Customer is using OzLink integration and OzLink is extracting address details from the Address 1, City, Country, State, and Zip fields. Since the information here is incorrect, the items get shipped to the wrong address.
2. On the sales order address tab, if you select Custom on the dropdown, the Address details are also different from what is entered on the Ship To box.
3. Override box is not checked both on the sales order and item fulfillment.
Solution:
This happens when shipping address is changed on the sales order by entering the address directly into the "Ship To" box instead of using "Edit" or "Custom" options. When you enter the address into the "Ship To" box, it does not map to specific fields. It cannot identify which line is for the fields:
Addressee
Address 1
Address 2
City
Country
State
Zip
To avoid this scenario, always use the "Custom" or "Edit" options when changing addresses in the sales order:
1. Edit Sales Order and go to the Address tab (or the tab where you enter the shipping address).
2. Click the "Ship To" dropdown and select Custom or New. You may also simply click the Edit icon beside the plus sign.
