Customer > Communications > Messages > Permission to Create Letter


When the user views a customer record and navigates to Communication tab > Messages subtab, the Letter button is not available.

To see the Letter button, the user's role needs to have the following permissions:

  • Letter Messages (level is at least Create)
  • Track Messages (level is at least Create)


1. Log in as Administrator.
2. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
3. Edit the role.
4. Under Permissions tab > Lists subtab, add Letter Messages and Track Messages.
5. Set the Access Level to at least Create.
5. Click Save.
