CSV Import of New Fixed Assets > The field name contained more than the maximum number ( 30 ) of characters allowed.

In the Field Mapping page of the CSV Import of new Fixed Assets, the system automatically maps the Name field with the Id field (NetSuite field). This appears at the bottom of the mapping list.

1. Navigate to Setup > Import/Export > Import CSV Records.

2. Select Custom Records as the Import Type.

3. Select FAM – Asset as the Record Type.

4. Select the CSV File.

5. Click Next.

6. Select Add for the Data Handling.

7. Click Next.

*You will be directed to the Field Mapping page

8. On the mapping list, remove the last mapping which is Name = Id.

9. Click Next.

10. Type the Import Map Name.

11. Click Run or Save & Run.
