Calculated UPS Shipping Cost Differs the Calculation on the UPS Site

Users sometimes try to compare the shipping cost calculated in NetSuite with what is displayed on the UPS web site (https://wwwapps.ups.com/ctc/request). 

To make sure that the shipping cost displayed in NetSuite matches the one calculated in the UPS web site, please follow these steps:

1. Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Shipping.
2. Click on the account number for your UPS account.  This will open your UPS account.
3. In the UPS Pickup Type drop-down list, select Daily Pickup.
4. Select the Agree option.
5. Click on the Submit button.

Notes:

1. Check the Set Up Shipping page (Setup > Accounting > Shipping).
2. On the Preferences tab > Rates portlet > UPS Rates Type = Daily Rates
