When at least one user has used the custom role to log in to NetSuite, Login Audit Trails are created and automatically become child records of the Role. By design, Login Audit Trails cannot be modified or deleted.
This explains why Custom Roles, even after removing the assigned users, cannot be deleted. Administrators may set the Role to inactive as an alternate solution.
