User added the custom field (e.g. Contract Name) on the custom transaction pdf layout by doing the following:
- Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Form PDF Layouts.
- Edit the custom transaction PDF layout.
- Click Add Custom Element, highlight Contract Name and mark Show Label = T.
- Hit OK.
- Drag and drop the added element in the desired position.
- Click Save.
Note: Used the PDF layout in the invoice form.
However, when user tried to print the invoice, the custom field value is blank. To resolve this, the Sale checkbox must be checked in the Applies To tab of the said custom field. To edit the field, perform the following steps:
- Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Body Fields.
- Edit the custom field.
- In the Applies To tab, mark Sale box = T.
- Click Save.
