Create a Custom Record Field of List/Record Type That Sources All Custom Item Number Fields

1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Record Types > New.
2. Enter Name for the custom record.
3. Click Save.
4. Create a custom record field by clicking the New Field button under the Fields tab with the settings below:

• Type = List/ Record
• List/Record = Field
• Store Value = T
• Under Sourcing & Filtering subtab > Filter Using = Script ID / Compare Type = contains / Compare Value = custitemnumber%

4. Click Save.

Note: This works provided that there is an existing custom item number field and the custom ID field starts with custitemnumber.
