C.O.D Amount not equal to total Sales Order Total

C.O.D. Amount field is found in the Packages tab of the Item Fulfillment. The C.O.D. amount is computed as follow:

UPS = (Amount of the item to be fulfilled + Shipping and Handling cost + Tax) less discount

FedEx = (Amount of the item to be fulfilled + Handling cost + Tax) less discount

Example:

Item 1 (qty=1) = $100
Item 2 (qty=1) = $50
Discount = $10
Tax = $6
Handling cost = $10
Shipping cost = $10

For UPS, COD Amount is equal to $166.00.

For FedEx, COD Amount is equal to $156.00

Here are the reasons why the amount of the C.O.D Amount does not equal to Sales order.

1)      There are items that are not mark as to be fulfilled on the item fulfilment.

2)      Shipping Cost is not included on the computation for FedEx shipments.

3)      Some items on the Sales order were set up with preference of Can Be Fulfilled/Received = F. Therefore these items will not appear on the item fulfillment stage. On the given sample if item 1 is set up as Cannot Be Fulfilled/Received = F, this will not appear on the item fulfilment and the C.OD. Amount will be computed as:

Discount = $10
Tax = $6
Shipping cost = $10
Handling cost = $10
Item = $50

For UPS, C.O.D Amount = $66
For FedEx, C.O.D Amount = $56

The Can be Fulfilled/Received is located on the Preferences tab on the item record.

Note: C.O.D. Amount can still be overridden manually.
