Update Preferred Stock Level Through CSV Import

When preferred stock level of items are updated through CSV, the CSV Response says Successful but Preferred Stock Level did not change. User has the Multi location Inventory feature enabled.

To resolve this, perform the following steps:

1. Create a CSV file with the following columns:

  • Item Name/Number or Internal ID of the item
  • Location
  • Preferred Stock Level
  • Auto-Calculate Preferred Stock Level

2. Navigate to Setup > Import/ Export > Import CSV Records.

3. Select Items in the Import Type field.

4. Select Inventory Item in the Record Type field.

5. Click Select.

6. Locate the CSV file then click Open.

7. Click Next.

8. Select Update for Data Handling.

9. Click Next.

10. In the Field Mapping section, set the following:

Your Fields

NetSuite Fields

Item Name

Item Name/Number

Location

Locations 1: Location (Go to the Location folder of the NetSuite fields pane on the Field Mapping Section)

Preferred Stock Level

Locations 1: Preferred Stock Level

Auto-Calculate Preferred Stock Level

Auto-Calculate Preferred Stock Level

 

11. Click Next.

12. Proceed with the rest of the steps in the Import Assistant.
