Unable to Save Item Fulfillment Due to "Label Generation Failure: Could not create label" Using Fedex Shipping Item.

When users can not save an item fulfillment and can not generate a FedEx shipping label due to error "Label Generation Failure: Could not create label", it is possible that the Addresee field on the customer address information in the Address tab of the item fulfillment contains a quotation mark (i.e.").

To correct the error, perform the following:

  1. Navigate to Transactions > Sales > Fulfill Orders > List.
  2. Click Edit next to the Item fulfillment in question.
  3. Click Address tab.
  4. On Addressee field, remove the quotation mark (").
