When users enter a cash sale or accepts customer payment via credit card, upon confirmation of the credit card charge, user encounter an error "Improperly Configured Account Login ID or Password". Consider the following causes of this error:
• Merchant Account is deactivated
• Password/Partner ID/User ID is entered incorrectly
To fix, perform the following:
1. Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Payment Processing Profiles.
2. Edit Verisign account.
3. Re-enter the Password, Partner ID, User ID.
Note: Acquiring an account from Verisign, customer will get two passwords: Transaction password and Verisign/Merchant password. Make sure to enter the Transaction Password in Netsuite. (In some cases when customer cannot remember their Transaction password, have them log in to their Verisign account and reset the Transaction password there).
3. Process another credit card transaction. If NetSuite displays the same error, have the user call Payflow Pro/Verisign at 18888839770 and confirm if they are entering the correct credentials on Setup > Accounting > Credit Card Processing. In rare cases that the customer gets the above error, though credentials are correct, it could be that the customer's account has been deactivated by the merchant.
