Unable to fund USPS Account for More Than $500.00 Due to error "The Purchase amount exceeds the limit".

Users may try to fund USPS account for more than $500.00 and receive an error "The Purchase amount exceeds the limit".

When customer funds an amount that is too large (i.e. $5000), they will receive an error "Missing or Invalid element: RecreditAmount. Error encountered"

To illustrate:

For the first two weeks after signing up for an Endicia account, user has a Purchase Limit Balance of up to $500. So, if user has an account balance of $ 100.00 and funds $500, it will be rejected because the total fund will exceed the limit. Therefore, if user's account balance is $ 100, he may only fund up to $400.

Consider the following:

Allow two weeks after registration. Only then can a user email Endicia via support@endicia.com to have their Purchase Limit Balance increased based on user's purchase history. Endicia can increase the threshold only if customers are not paying through credit card. If they pay through checks or ACH they can grant increase for the account.

As per Endicia Terms and Conditions (Setup > Accounting > Shipping > Add USPS Account > Endicia Terms and Conditions)

"When an account is initiated, the minimum postage purchase is $10 and the maximum is $500 and a customer's account may contain a maximum of $500 of postage at any given time. An unlimited number of purchases can be made. No sales taxes are applicable to purchases of postage. A customer may apply directly with Endicia's support staff (support@endicia.com) to have the postage purchase limits on an account increased once they have used the account and established a postage buying pattern (usually a couple of weeks)."
