Set up Email Case Capture in Gmail (Google Apps)

To forward messages to NetSuite using Gmail, perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to your Gmail account.
  2. Click the Settings link on the upper right hand.
  3. Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
  4. Click on Add a forwarding address.
  5. In the popup window enter the NetSuite Address. To get the NetSuite Address, in NetSuite, navigate to Setup > Support > Support Preferences > Inbound Email tab.
  6. Click Next.
  7. In the Notification message: "A confirmation code has been sent (to the forwarding email address) to verify permission", click OK.
  8. In NetSuite, navigate to Lists > Support > Cases. Check the most recent case created which will have the following subject line containing the confirmation code: "Gmail Forwarding Confirmation (#xxxx253) - Receive Mail from ABCdef@gmail.com"
  9. Go back to your Gmail account > Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, enter the confirmation code.
  10.  Click Verify.

To test, compose an email and send to the Gmail Email Address. Navigate to Lists > Support > Cases to verify if a case is created.
