To forward messages to NetSuite using Gmail, perform the following steps:
- Log in to your Gmail account.
- Click the Settings link on the upper right hand.
- Click on the Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab.
- Click on Add a forwarding address.
- In the popup window enter the NetSuite Address. To get the NetSuite Address, in NetSuite, navigate to Setup > Support > Support Preferences > Inbound Email tab.
- Click Next.
- In the Notification message: "A confirmation code has been sent (to the forwarding email address) to verify permission", click OK.
- In NetSuite, navigate to Lists > Support > Cases. Check the most recent case created which will have the following subject line containing the confirmation code: "Gmail Forwarding Confirmation (#xxxx253) - Receive Mail from ABCdef@gmail.com"
- Go back to your Gmail account > Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, enter the confirmation code.
- Click Verify.
To test, compose an email and send to the Gmail Email Address. Navigate to Lists > Support > Cases to verify if a case is created.
