When buying an item from the Web Store, the Gift Certificate field appears in the Payment Information page; it also appears in the Review and Submit Your Order page. It confuses customers completely that it is for gift certificates only.
1. Navigate to Setup > Site Builder > Customize Text and click Customize for the Default Customize Text Group.
2. Navigate to the Headings sub tab. In the Default Text column, look for Gift Certificate. In the Customization column, replace it with <!-- (HTML comment opening & closing tags).
By doing these, the gift certificate option will be commented out in the Payment Information page and display only in the Review and Submit Your Order page.
Note:
If user needs to remove both Gift Certificate fields from the checkout process, just change the Gift Certificate text under the Field Labels sub tab to <!-- as well.
