'Items to Order' Link Does Not Appear under Reminders Portlet After User Enabled the 'Items to Order' Reminder


User has added the 'Items to Order' reminder to the Reminders portlet. However, saving and refreshing the portlet does not show the Items to Order link in the Reminders portlet. The custom role has the following permissions:

  • Transactions: Enter Purchase Order = Full
  • Transactions: Purchase Order = Full
  • Transactions: Receive Purchase Orders = Full
  • Lists: Items = View
  • Reports: Inventory = View

To resolve this, the user's role must have at least Edit level of access to Items permission (Lists subtab). To edit the role, perform the following steps:

     1. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles.
     
     2. Edit the Custom Role.
     
     3. Under Permissions tab > Lists subtab, locate Items permission.
     
     4. Set Level to at least Edit.
     
     5. Click Save.

 

Note: Defect 158487 has been filed regarding this behavior. Defect status is Open - Resolution TBD with Severity set to S3.
