Find the Revalued Journal Entries

To know which journal entries were already revalued, follow these steps:

 

Customize the View of the Journals page to show the Type column or Create a Journal Transaction Type Saved Search.

            A.   Customize the View of the Journals page to show the Type column

1.    Navigate to Transactions > Financial > Make Journal Entries > List.

2.    Click Customize View button.

3.    Under Results tab:

a.     Select Applying Transaction Fields…

b.    Pop-up window will appear. Select Type for the Applying Transaction Field.

c.     Click Add.

d.    Click Preview.

4.    Refer to the Type column and sort it by type.

5.    Look for all Currency Revaluation Type. User will now be able to identify all Journal Entries that were revalued.          

 

            B.    Create a Journal Transaction Saved Search

1.    Go to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New.

2.    Select Transaction.

3.    Under Criteria > Standard:

e.    Select Type. Pop-up window will appear. Select Journal. Click Set button.

f.      Select Applying Transaction Fields…

g.    Pop-up window will appear. Select Type for the Applying Transaction Filter.

h.    Pop-up window will appear. Type = any of. Select Currency Transaction.

i.      Click Done. Click Set.

4.    Click Save & Run.

 

NOTE:

1. Users can also follow Solution A to customize other transaction list page that are usually being revalued like the Invoices page ( at Transactions > Sales > Create Invoices > List ) or Credit Memos page ( at Transactions > Customers > Issue Credit Memos > List ).

2. Solution B can also be used to track all types of transactions that were revalued. Just add transactions like Invoice and/ or Credit Memo for the Type filter under Criteria > Standard subtab.
