Download Link for "BlankProjectFileWithExportMap.mpp" File from theProject Task Import Assistant Page Opens a Window with Gibberish or GarbageCharacters

This happens if Internet Explorer is setup to open documents for MS Office programs (like MS Project) that are installed on the computer. If MS Project is already installed, here are the steps that can be followed to download the .mpp file:

1. Navigate to Activities > Scheduling > Project Tasks > Import
2. Right click on Download BlankProjectFileWithExportMap.mpp
3. Select Save Target As... (If browser is Firefox or Chrome select Save Link As... instead.)
4. Affix ".mpp" to the end of the file name.
5. In the Save as Type field select All Files
6. Click Save.
