Display PO/Check Number on Vendor Bill

To display the PO/Check number on the Vendor Record (Financial tab > Transactions subtab), perform the following steps:

     1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields Transaction Body Fields > New.
     
     2. Provide a Label (e.g. PO/Check No.).
     
     3. In the Type field, select Free-Form Text.
     
     4. Uncheck Store Value.
     
     5. In the Applies To tab, check Purchase.
     
     6. Click Validation & Defaulting tab.
     
     7. In the Default Value, enter {createdfrom.number}.
     
     Note: Formula is checked.
     
     8. Click Save.
     
     9. Navigate to Lists > Relationships > Vendors.
     
     10. View a Vendor record.
     
     11. In the Financial tab> Transactions subtab, click Customize View.
     
     12. Change the Search Title.
     
     13. In the Customize Transaction Results window> Results tab, add the custom field.
     
     14. Click Save.
     
To use the saved search, navigate back to the Vendor record (Financial tab > Transactions subtab), set the view field to the search.
     

Note: Enhancement 64905 has been filed for the ability to have PO number display on the vendor bill.
