Display the Item Manufacturer Part Number (MPN) on Case Form

For easy tracking, user would like to display the MPN of the Item selected in the Item field of a case record.

To create the custom field, perform the following steps:

1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > CRM Fields > New.

2. Provide a Label (e.g. MPN).

3. Set Type to Free-Form Text.

4. Uncheck Store Value.

5. In the Applies To tab, check Case.

6. In the Display tab, set Subtab to Main.

7. In the Sourcing & Filtering tab, set the following:

·         Source List: Item

·         Source From: MPN

8. Click Save & Apply to Forms.

9. Locate the custom field.

10. Check Show for the selected form.

11. Click Save.
