Change to Store Default Value of Custom Transaction Line Field whenField is Hidden in the Transaction Form

User creates a custom column field that has a Default Value. User hides the field in the form. When switching to a form where the field is displayed, the default value on the custom field does not appear. Column field is blank.

To resolve this, perform the following steps:
 
1. Navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms

2. Edit the custom form.
 
3. Click the Screen Fields tab > Columns subtab.
 
4. Locate the custom field.
 
5. Clear the Label for the field.
 
6. Click Show checkbox.
 
7. Click Save.
 
When a field does not have a Label in the form, the field will not appear in the form. Switching to a form where the field is displayed (and has a label), the default value set in the custom field will be stored.
