Oftentimes, users mistakenly add Percent Complete field (under Customer/Project folder). However, the Percent Complete field does not refer to planned project time but to revenue recognition instead. Right now, Percent Work Complete field is not yet available to the Estimated Profitability by Project Report (Enhancement 198994). A formula field can be used instead.
To Add Percent Work Complete Column Field on a Custom Estimated Profitability by Project Report using formula field:
1. Navigate to Reports > Time & Billables > Estimated Profitability by Project > Customize
2. Under Edit Columns, expand Estimated Profitability by Project folder and add the following fields:
• Actual Time
• Current Time Budget
3. Click Add Formula Field button.
• Formula Type = Percent Ratio: (x/y)*100
• Where:
x = Actual Time
y = Current Time Budget
4. Save/Preview
