A non-administrator role cannot direct list edit a custom field

1. Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Roles > Edit/Customize the role.

2. On the Permissions subtab > Lists sublist > make sure that the role have the Find Transaction, Perform Search and Publish Search permissions.

3. On the Forms subtab > check the preferred sales order form being used by this role

4. Then navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms > Edit the form.

5. On the Screen Fields subtab > mark the custom field to show

 

Note: If there is no preferred form assigned on the role, navigate to Customization > Forms > Transaction Forms > edit the form marked as preferred and mark the custom field to show in the form.
