Edit Shipping Item > More Actions > Delete > Notice: This Item cannot be deleted because it has a Child Item

Users may encounter a notice when deleting a Shipping Item (Lists > Accounting > Shipping Items).

Notice: This Item cannot be deleted because it has a Child Item.

Users may not be able to delete the shipping item if they already have transactions using the shipping item. This is the reason why users are getting a prompt that the shipping item can't be deleted because it has a chid item.

However, users may set the Shipping Item to Inactive.
A.
1. Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Shipping Items.
2. Click Edit on Shipping Item that you want to delete.
3. Set the Inactive box to Checked/True.
4. Click Save.

1. Navigate to Lists > Accounting > Shipping Items.
2. On Ship Items page > Set the Show Inactives box to Checked/True.
3. Put a mark on the Inactive checkbox beside the Shipping Item/Method that needs to be deleted.
4. Click the Submit button.
