Users may ask if they can create a generic or one Payment Method for Credit Cards (VISA, American Express, MasterCard and Discover).
Users may create a generic or one payment method for Credit Cards. Just make sure that users put a valid credit card information such as credit card number, credit card expiration date, credit card name and zip and CSC.
CyberSource is the one checking the credit card information. NetSuite sends a raw request to CyberSource and CyberSource replies through a raw response if the credit card is accepted or declined.
To create a generic Payment Method:
1. Using an Administrator role, navigate to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Lists > New
2. Click on Payment Method
3. On the New Payment Method page, set the following:
- Payment Method = Credit Card
- Credit Card box = Checked
- Supporting Merchants Accounts = highlight what processor/s this payment method can be used
- Select radio button "Group with Undeposited Funds" to batch payments prior to depsoit into a bank account and entry into a general ledger account.
- Select radio button "Deposit To" and then select a general ledger account, of the Bank type, from the drop-down list in the Account field.
4. Click Save.
