On custom role's interface, Print Checks and Forms is not available but changing it to Classic Interface will display it under Transactions > Management. Some users do not want it to be under this navigational path and would like their users to be prompted directly to the Print Item Labels page from a separate tab.
To resolve, perform the following:
Pre-requisite: The role should have an Item permission set to Create level.
Step A: Create a Center Link
1. Navigate to Customization > Centers and Tabs > Center Links.
2. Enter a value for the Label field. E.g. Print Item Labels ONLY
3. Enter this link for the URL field:
https://system.netsuite.com/app/accounting/print/printbarcodes.nl?printtype=null&method=print
4. Click Save.
Step B: Create Custom Center Tab
1. Navigate to Customization > Centers and Tabs > Center Tabs > New.
2. Enter a value for the Name field. E.g. Print
3. On the Center field, select the desired Center where you would like to apply this custom tab.
4. Under Content > Categories subtab, enter your desired name of this category. E.g. Print Item Labels
5. Click Save.
Step C: Associate the Custom Center Link to the Custom Center Category
1. Navigate to Customization > Centers and Tabs > Center Category.
2. Click Edit on the Category created above in Step B.
3. Under the Values tab, select the Custom Center Link created on Step A, "Print Item Labels ONLY".
4. Click Save.
