View Asset Records > Error > "TypeError: Cannot call method "setDisplayType" of null (ncFAR_AssetRecord_UE.js$9818#227)"

A user with Custom Role is trying to view an asset record (Fixed Assets > Lists > Assets: View any Asset Record).

Result:

"TypeError: Cannot call method "setDisplayType" of null (ncFAR_AssetRecord_UE.js$9818#227)" when viewing an asset record.

Resolution:

Edit the Custom Role using these steps (Administrator Role):

Navigate to Setup > Users/Roles > Manage Role.
Click on Edit to the role that encountered the error and assign either of these two sets of permissions:

A.
Permissions Tab > Custom Record Subtab: FAM - Asset - View Level.
Permissions Tab > Custom Record Subtab: FAM - Alternate Depreciation, Edit Level, and under the Restrict Field, select Editing Only.

B.
Permissions Tab > Custom Record Subtab: FAM - Asset - View Level.

Note: If the Administrator wants to Add FAM - Alternate Depreciation Permission, giving it View Level only would still return the above error.
