The user wants to display the total quantity of items on transactions using a custom field.
A. Create a transaction saved search.
1. Navigate to Lists > Search > Saved Searches > New > Transaction.
2. In the Criteria tab:
a.specify the type of transaction where the custom field will be added (optional).
b. COGS line = F
c.Tax Line = F
d. Main Line = F
e. Shipping Line = F
3. In the Results tab, add the Quantity field and set the Summary Type to Sum.
4. In the Available Filters tab, add Internal ID.
5. Specify a title then click on Save.
B. Create the transaction body field.
1. Navigate to Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Transaction Body Fields > New.
2. Set the Type to Free-Form Text or Integer.
3. Unmark the Store Value checkbox.
4. In the Applies To tab, select the types of transactions where to add the field.
5. In the Validation & Defaulting tab, select the saved search in the Search dropdown.
6. Click on Save.
