On the CSV import update of the Tax Reg. Number field of the Vendor Record. In the Field Mapping page of the Import Assistant the error is received: The field vatregnumber contained more than the maximum number ( 20 ) of characters allowed.

The field vatregnumber is the Field ID of the Tax Reg. Number. The maximum number of characters for this field is 20 characters. Edit the CSV file and make sure the Tax Reg. Number is only 20 characters.
