On the CSV import update of the Tax Reg. Number field of the Customer Records. In the Field Mapping page of the Import Assistant the error is received: The field vatregnumber contained more than the maximum number ( 20 ) of characters allowed.

The field vatregnumber is the Field ID of the Tax Reg. Number field. The maximum number of characters allowed for this field is 20 characters only. Edit the CSV file and make sure the Tax Reg. Number is only 20 characters.
