Character Limit for the Default Value when Creating a Custom Field

When setting the default value (Customization > Lists, Records, & Fields > Entity Fields > Edit a custom field or click New > In Validation & Defaulting Tab > Default Value) of a Custom Field, users can only use up to 2999 characters including spaces. This applies to all field types (i.e. Long Text, Free-form Text, Rich Text, etc.).
