Scenario:

·        Advanced Taxes = False in Non-OneWorld / International Edition account

·        Navigate to Lists >Accounting > Items > New

·        Choose item type

·        View item record's Purchase Tax Code and TaxCode fields:

·        Tax Code field value = null

·        Purchase Tax Code field has a Tax Item

• Where does NetSuite get the value the Purchase Tax Code field?

 

Findings:

·        Thevalue of the Purchase Tax Code field in a new item record is sourcedfrom the Default Tax Code field in Setup > Accounting > Set UpTaxes
