Even 'Today' is not a standard field within NetSuite, we can still use the field id {today} in search to show the actual date today. We can also include this on Email Subject.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Navigate to Reports > Saved Searches > All Saved Searches > New
2. Click on Transaction link
3. Set the following under Criteria Tab > Standard Subtab:
· Type = Sales Order
· Main Line = T
· Date = within Last Month
4. Set the following under Email Tab:
· Send Email Alerts When Records are Created/Updated = T
· Specific Recipient Subtab > enter your name under Recipient Column
· Specific Recipient Subtab > Send on Update = T
· Specific Recipient Subtab > Show Changes = T
· Customize Message Subtab > Subject = {today} Test Send Email
5. Enter a Search Title
6. Click Save & Email
However, {today} is only working for emails containing results from one record (single-record results) like any other field IDs.
Single-record results emails are sent for all alerts, and for scheduled emails to recipients derived from the Recipients from Results subtab when the Summarize Scheduled Emails box is disabled.
Therefore, the actual date of today will not be showing when the email contains multiple records and when Summarize Scheduled Emails box is checked.
