Set up Options for CSC (Card Security Code) for Credit Card Processing

Navigate to Setup > Accounting > Accounting Preferences > Items/Transactions Tab > Payment Processing Portlet > Use Card Security Code for Credit Card Transactions

Enabling this preference will add a Card Security Code (CSC) field to sales orders (Billing tab) and sales made through your Web store. CSC numbers are 3 or 4 digit numbers, usually provided on the back of the credit card.

Customers are required to enter CSC numbers during the checkout process in the Web site.

To verify CSCs in the Web Site the following preference should be enabled:
Setup > Site Builder > Set Up Web Site > Edit > Shopping tab > Shopping Basics portlet > Require Authorization for Credit Card Transactions

This can help prevent fraudulent orders from occurring.
