Offer Free Shipping and Handling Charges to a Specific Customer for Orders Created Manually and via Web Store

If a user wants to offer free shipping and handling charges for a specific Customer, they could create a Promotion Code to be provided only for the specific Customer. This promo code can be used when the order is manually created or when Customer accesses the web store. 

 

1.    Using an Administrator role, go to Lists > Marketing > Promotions > New.

2.    Set the following:

 -       Promotion Name

-       Start Date

-       End Date

-       Display line discounts = True

-       Available to all Customers = True **This is required but you should only provide the Promotion Code to the specific Customer**

-       Set the Free Shipping Method

3.    Under Codes tab, set the Coupon Code.

4.    Hit Save.

Notes:

-       If the Sales Order is created manually, user needs to enter the Promotion Code on the Promotion field under Items tab.

-       If it is a Web Order, Customer needs to enter the promo code on the Coupon field and hit Apply button.
